The Electronic Entertainment Expo is finally going to return to it's former glory. After a few years of being a small, developer-only affair, this year's E3 is going to be bigger than ever!
But we can't be distracted by the change of scenery. While it's great that it will return to being a true "Expo", we shouldn't take our focus off the games.
Dozens of games will be seen at E3 this year; many will be the annual sports titles, but there are a good number of games that could be some of the "big-hitters" of this year. I've detailed a few below.
- Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2: The sequel to the widely acclaimed "hack 'n slash" game will finally have it's details diverged.
- Fat Princess: This light-hearted Playstation Store game has garnered some controversy, but that hasn't stopped fans from clamoring for it.
- God of War III: One of Sony's most popular first party titles, it's final release date will be announced at this year's E3, presumably along with a number of details about the gameplay.
- A Boy and His Blob: An "upgrade" of the 1989 cult classic, this game is different from other Wii games in that it will not be taking advantage of the motion controls, possibly to give it a "classic" feel.
- Lost Planet 2: Although not raved over by critics, the original "Lost Planet" game had a good fan base, and it's original gameplay lends itself well for another sequel.
Of course, many more games will be shown at this year's E3, which will take place June 2-4. Check back for more information on the upcoming Expo!
